Rizka: Abbas received $35m for Gaza reconstruction

GAZA, (PIC)-- The Arab League secretary general Nabil Al-Arabi has handed PA chief Mahmoud Abbas 35 million dollars three months ago that were allocated for the Gaza reconstruction, Yousef Rizka, political advisor to Gaza premier Ismail Haneyya, disclosed.

Rizka said that during the recent meeting between Haneyya and Arabi, the latter said that the money was given to Abbas via a bank account in Ramallah without notifying the Gaza government.

Haneyya was surprised at the news especially when Arabi told him that the transfer was made with Palestinian consent, the advisor underlined.
