The collaborationist Palestinian Authority (Fatah) led by Mahmoud Abbas in the West Bank is refusing to pay for electricity to be supplied by Israel to Gaza in order to put more hardship on the Palestinians in the hope that Hamās will lose popular support in the blockaded impoverished Territory. "A few weeks ago, Abbas informed Israel that he would cut by 40 percent the amount of money he transfers to Israel to provide electricity in Gaza. Abbas made the decision as part of his attempt to put heavy pressure on Hamas. Israel responded that the supply would be cut according to the payments received. The reduction is expected to worsen the already difficult humanitarian situation in Gaza."
Israeli cabinet decides to reduce Gaza electricity supply in agreement with Abbas' request

One has to wonder how Abbas can consider himself a leader of the Palestinian people when he is getting the Israelis to do his dirty work against Palestinians who are already under siege with periodic massacres by the Israel Defense Force and who are being systematically beaten-down by their Israeli captors.
