Every White person on the planet needs to take self defense classes, master a martial art such as jiujitsu, and CARRY a gun in their pocket. This is absolutely important.
The left tries to position her as antiwomen, when she was anything but that. First she was against the ERA because it was a sham statute that would have done little bit created a boatload of lawsuits.
She was 100% right to be against women getting drafted. She had not problem with women enlisting, but she didn't want women to be forced into combat via the draft.
Second, she strongly supported programs for older divorcees who didn't have the job skills to enter the workforce.
She fully supported a women's right to work, but she didn't want to see the erosion of the traditional family.

In retrospect, I think she was right in terms of "Mommy track." However, ironically, her opposition did result in a general shift of female vote from gop to dem.
