Chris Rea passed away today aged 74,another one gone who we all listened to.

But I did look him up and vaguely remember his only hit that got US airplay back in 1978...

He never toured the US but was big in the UK and Europe, that record was dedicated to his sister who was going through a break up.

Thanks for the thread. I'm a fan of his music, especially his album The Road Hell. This featured the title song, "Texas" and "Daytona". R.I.P. Mr. Rea.

I vaguely remember that one too. But confess, like you, I'd never heard of him. And I'm a bit of a music buff.
