Again, terrible ideas all around.

Here's the problem with "School Choice" in general. It won't make a unmotivated kid into a good student, and it won't make uninvolved parents care.

The reason private schools work well is because 1) They can pick the students they want. and 2) Since the parents are spending their own money, they are committed.

Just giving people vouchers, and hoping Free Market Fairy Dust will solve the problem won't work

I give you how Section 8 didn't solve the housing problem.

So the government tore down all the public housing high-rises and gave them poor people vouchers called Section 8. But this amazing thing happened. It didn't solve the problem. Why? Because landlords who care would always prefer a tenant with a job!
