What I'm really going to be watching is his changes at the FDA. Especially since this is his future job.

Currently the FDA is a train wreck of an organization. Much like the FTC currently is a train wreck.

Cleaning up the research awarded grant process, the mathematics, patent safety and quality assurance. Currently if a researcher is violating patient rights in some fashion and someone whistle blows on them by calling the FDA....nothing happens. Literally nothing. No audits or requests for record reviews...definitely no site visits.
And the process by which grants are awarded is also highly suspect. There's always been a fuss about it but at this moment I'm believing there are shenanigans with NIH grants.

Then there's the food processing plants. Listeria outbreaks, chemical contamination of foods and then the whole infant formula fiasco. (Much better ways of handling the situation by all sides involved) The meat packing plants.

Which brings up a problem with the FTC, Farm Credit, individual farmers and the food processors.
All of this is another cesspool of huge sums of money and big business. Verizon wireless currently holds a Farm Credit loan in the billions. WHY?
Before another food plant is moved, independent farmers destroyed, and a bunch of fat cats get richer. This needs people being fired, FTC violations, and SEC sanctions...meaning jail time.
