The judge appropriately cited Orwell's novel, 1984, in ordering the restoration of the panel concerning slavery. We, like every other nation, have some dark chapters in our history. To deny them, to try to hide them, only makes the chance of repeating them more likely.

Retarded.

The Trump Administration is trying to “erase history” because some small commission took down this one panel?

It looks like it’s outdoors. I doubt anyone ever cared about this display.

The issue is the panels probably had a hard leftist slant on the history involved.

It's less about the past and more about using it in the present as political fodder.

My earliest ancestor didn't come over here until the 1870's, so my lineages had nothing to do with all this.

The OP should write to the Richmond, Virginia city council and request all those Confederate statues be returned to Monument Avenue....I think the only thing left is some ****** negro tennis player now.

The Trump administration has issued a policy where they don’t allow national parks and monuments to say anything if it makes us look bad.

A democrat talking about history lol. Wow

The Leftists speak and cry about stolen land, yet continue to live upon the land in walled off gated communities.
Virtually all land on Earth has changed hands through conquest, migration, or colonization at some point in history, as ownership has traditionally been determined by the ability to hold territory rather than by static, ancient right.
The concept of "stolen land" is generally considered a universal, historical reality rather than an exception, with ownership having transitioned dozens of times in many regions.

Slavery and human trafficking have existed globally for millennia, with the "Arab slave trade" spanning 1,300+ years (7th-20th century), transporting 10-18 million Africans across the Sahara and Indian Ocean to the Middle East. Primarily domestic, this trade lasted until the mid-20th century, with modern "trafficking" persisting via the Kafala system.
Saudi Arabia is frequently cited as a destination for trafficked workers, with 1.7 million people in the region in modern slavery conditions in 2021, including labor exploitation and forced marriage.
Reports indicate that individuals from Europe, including Russian and Ukrainian women, are vulnerable to sex and labor trafficking to the Middle East, and this practice continues. Human trafficking is a significant, ongoing issue in the Middle East, with the region having the highest prevalence of modern slavery per capita

They told you slavery was America's unique sin. They lied. Matt Walsh exposes how African kingdoms enslaved millions, Islamic pirates raided Europe for white slaves, and the East African trade dwarfed the Atlantic. The truth about who enslaved whom, and who actually ended it. This is the real history of slavery.
Slavery continues today. Yet, blacks in America continue to play the victim. Perhaps they should all spend time in Africa to appreciate their freedom and liberty?

We all know about the history of slavery.

However, it's been gone for over 160, and we do not need to be constantly beat over the head about it.
Democrats constantly talk about slavery as a way to attack Americans and America.

Once you realize democrats are traitors working with the WEF on a plot to intentionally collapse America and usher in the great reset, suddenly everything they support and say will make perfect sense, like constantly harping on slavery.

Democrats = traitors

Old Rocks won’t watch. He can’t risk his worldview being shattered.

Tell that to your Democrat friends. They continue jawing about "Jim Crow" and "Jim Crow 2.0" especially Chuck Schumer, when in reality created by Democrats.
This is no different today when Democrats resist and Republicans' call for Identification before voting..
