I've never paid for a dog always shelter or stray, but now at our age these two may be our last reçue's.
9 months ago we went to shelter to find dogs to watch our home. So I picked out two a Dogo Argentino and a Goldie, very large and one muscle bound.

Dogo,

Leo getting a bath,Leo was horribly abused and very malnourished bones and skin when vet gave him transfusion and brought him back to life, he is still a little neurotic.
So we had to find 2 dogs that would bark instead of run and hide.
I had to teach Leo and his sister Foxy to bark by using online dogs barking along with me, yep I too yelped.

Yes he does, not sure what else, Leo's sister from same littler Foxy looks totally different, she too was very abused, both were left on a 6' chain to slowly starve to death. Very sick mental and physical.

Good job to rescue them. I am sure they needed special care and absolute love.

God bless you!

Our last two have been rescues. They know you have saved their lives!

For the last several years we have been a defacto rescue for old dogs from various family. It can be rough in that last year for each, but no one ever gives a damn about old dogs.

It looks precious. Male or female?
So kind of you, and yes old dogs aren't adopted too often.
Far as Leo and Foxy we didn't know how old they were ,just knew they needed a home. Trined out they were 13 months.
Although I did try to get guard dogs young enough to watch the place last Novenber.
We're in our 70s and so these two new shelter dogs we got in November are a real challenge.
The now 3 yr old Dogo is the strongest dog I've ever seen, much less owned.
The Goldie soon to be 2 is full of energy and tale as I am when she stands on hind legs!!
Both are highly intelligent.

She is an old Poodle. Was the Aunt's who passed. We effectively broke into her apartment to grab her-she been in the apartment alone a week at that point. She is a true pain in the butt.

Nice! That looks like a serious job to wash that doggo...

They are lucky dogs.

I also have two pets - stray cats brought to the animal shelter.

Thank you Lisa glad they now have a good home.
They shelter here is refusing animals, no room, so we had to be careful not to run over one pulling into parking lot. Lots of cats and dogs running around the lot, some expecting.

Thank you. I just gave to a good home out litter precious kitten we found here in the woods because I'm allergic now. Also afraid one of the dogs would kill her, Leo has already killed 2 of our hens.
She was so cute, hubby really wanted to keep her. We named her Sheba.

It is a blessing to have them and thank you for the blessing.
So glad many are now adopting animals. So many need a home.
It is hard to walk thru the pens at the shelter, they are all begging for you to take them.

So glad you got her out of there. Foxy is now our only house dog, but the others 3 have a fenced acre yard ro run and play in.
Also, we take them to the beach and down the river on our Jon boat.

This is our latest rescue, Charlotte. She had an ectopic ureter which went from her kidney directly to her uerethra, bypassing her bladder - which rendered her, essentially, incontinent.

Hubby just got thru with the Dogo and Foxy, now he is doing Leo,then the big one Massie will be last.
He has to do the ears, clip and file down the nails so it's a big job, I may allow 3 beers this evening, usually only 2.LOL.
