Yeah.....see, back in the 1990s bill "the rapist" clinton thought it was a good idea to push gun control.....and gun control was one of the reasons the democrats lost control of the House of Representatives after controlling it for close to 40 years........

For the next couple decades the democrats refused to push gun control at the federal level because of that loss..........this is why they changed their strategy for gun control...focusing on local elections.....but as we see here, that likely is a bad idea too...

Graham cited gun control legislation in the state as well as COVID-19 lockdowns as key turnout drivers for Republicans in the city.
