As you can see Israel continued the settlements and Iran with embargo and what else stopped the nuclear plan.
You cant allow other states to write plans for the US, Isolating Iran is inevitable with settlements or without, if there was no settlements than it would've been the blockade or any other issue, the settlements is just a card to play against the US-Israeli support and the smallest one, while Israelis live in the West Bank Pals can also live there and there is enough room meanwhile for 50 years, here's a scenario tell me if that acceptable.
Israel ask the US to stop the war in Iraq, because that would make Israel look better in Turkey, and lets make it even more realistic, Israel ask the US to building in Texas because Israel want to improve the affairs with Bolivia...ridiculous don't you think?
