Evanston Illinois wants to be the first to push for "reparations" for slavery. Mostly black all liberal democrat. Of course, they aren't pandering to race and they think this is really a practical solution to fix poor racial relations and will broken poor black communities. Yeah, right.
 
Maybe, maybe not. What is really going on here?

Ok, the redlining thing. This is a class issue. And frankly, seeing what happens when poor blacks move in a non black community, I think they owe us reparations.

Actually the Evenston reparations are for housing discrimination.

Do they have to prove they were discriminated against? Or do they just line up with their hand out...
My understanding is that to be eligible for a grant to buy a home, they just have to show that they are, or are a descendant of a black person who lived in Evanston back when the city banned blacks from living in certain areas.
