Flash back to 1990, the Berlin Wall had collapsed. Communism had lost it's influence, relegated back to it's source nations. The Eastern Bloc in taters and slowly dissolving.
America was now the sole super power. No rivals. So powerful in fact, that when East Germany collapsed, the West went in and secured the files of the Stasi. A treasure trove of vital information (of those that weren't incinerated).
America was the top economy, followed by Japan. Hell, even weak, creepy, horse and buggy Canada had a larger economy than Communist China back then! They were a mere 3rd of a trillion in GDP in 11th place on the world stage, even with their massive population.
How things have changed. One weak leader after another in nation after nation. Incompetent agencies, Western intelligence and advisors, either woefully useless or outsmarted by their adversaries.
Does anyone believe for a second, that if (and when by the looks of it), China becomes the sole super power, that they will be so generous as to allow other nations to catch up and surpass them? That they will allow any nation to hold them accountable or be members of the global league of nations? Or, would we expect them to dictate and reign?
The post-Trump years are going to an interesting period of time. Seems he was just a minor irritant to the global socialists. A short side track.
