I hear hard wire in home phone service as we know it will be gone in a few years too. Replaced by internet phone service.

As it is, most cell phone services are cheaper than phone lines these days, so I don't doubt they'll be gone soon.

I have never sent a telegraph in my life, and would honestly have no idea where to go to even send one. The only telegraph machine (telegrapher?) I ever saw was in a museum. So, I won't be missing them too much.
