Our police force is a reflection of the society it polices. Effective change begins at the source of the problem not the symptom. Why does it have to be a police or US problem? The population act like privileged entitled idiots. As a result MANY of them step beyond the bounds of moral or legal behavior. Cracking down on make believe injustices does nothing to fix a broken society. The U.S. imprisons more of its Citizens per capita, than any other Nation on earth. Its Police Force also kills more of its Citizens per capita. So we do have a Police problem. Let's stop ignoring or making excuses. Let's address the problem.
Not to say there aren't bad cops but get some fucking perspective.
The facts are facts. The American Police Force does kill and imprison too many Citizens. We have to move away from this Militarization.
Effective change begins with everyone. We have to stop imprisoning our own People so much. It really is embarrassingly shameful. Start by decriminalizing most drugs and releasing all non-violent drug offenders. The time has come. We are rapidly becoming a brutal Militarized Police State. It's time to try and reverse that.
