All US States and all countries should have sacrificed a slightly higher tiny tiny minority by not having lockdowns so the utter vast majority wouldn't suffer the financial and poor health fall out.

The prediction during the lockdowns was that in the long run, more deaths would result two-fold -

1) Those who missed health various health screening procedures, and thus will now die from illnesses because they weren't detected sooner.

2) Food and diet. Because of high inflation and cost of living, a big proportion of people are now on a poorer diet, so this has a knock on effect of more deaths over a longer period of time. Reducing the quality of people's diets increases poor health and greater deaths.
