Randy Meisner, founding member of the Eagles and singer of 'Take It to the Limit,' dies at 77
Randy Meisner, a founding member of the Eagles who added high harmonies to such favorites as “Take It Easy” and “The Best of My Love” and sang and co-wrote the hit “Take It to the Limit,” has died at 77.

I have just recently gotten into Eagles' music. He was one of the founding members along with Don Felder, Don Henley, Bernie Leadon, and Glenn Frey. He left in 1977 to be succeeded by Timothy B. Schmit. Ironically, he also played in Poco and again, was succeeded by Schmit when he left for the Eagles.
