Last month, FBI Director Kash Patel wished his followers on X a happy Diwali. It did not go over well.

Far-right Christian nationalist and white nationalist accounts flooded his post with bigoted memes and rhetoric. “Go back home and worship your sand demons,” a far-right pastor wrote. “Get the f**k out of my country,” read another reply. Said another, “This is America. We don’t do this.” These responses, some of which were seen millions of times, were on the tamer end of the spectrum.

Similar hostility followed Diwali greetings on X from former UN ambassador Nikki Haley, former presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy and Assistant Attorney General for Civil Rights Harmeet Dhillon, as well as posts about the holiday from the White House, the State Department, Texas Gov. Greg Abbott and Arkansas Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders.

Some Indian American conservatives seem shocked that segments of the political right are now taking aim at them. When Democrats won big on election night, Ramaswamy advised Republicans to “cut out the identity politics,” saying “we don’t care about the color of your skin or your religion. We care about the content of your character.” After one X user said that the existence of Indians disgusted them, Dinesh D’Souza, the right-wing commentator who has peddled racism against Black Americans for decades, mused: “In a career spanning 40 years, I have never encountered this type of rhetoric. The Right never used to talk like this. So who on our side has legitimized this type of vile degradation?”

This type of degrading rhetoric is not new, but it’s increasingly prominent from the political right. With the rise of once-fringe figures, and with President Donald Trump aggressively cracking down on nearly every type of immigration, some members of the MAGA coalition are openly suggesting that only white Christians belong in America.

“The call is coming from inside the house,” said Siddharth Venkataramakrishnan, an editorial manager and analyst at the Institute for Strategic Dialogue who has examined anti-Indian hate speech and the far right online.

They act surprised.

Now that are about to FAFO.

They like many black folks are finding out that MAGA doesn't want them.

Nick Fuentes already told you fools that.

Nobody is racist against American Indians. White man mean red man no harm.

Random anonymous comments, or are there racist comments against Indians from influential people on the right?

Indians are huge scammers. The company my son works for has entire departments that are nothing but Indians. They cheat the company unmercifully.

Cultures are mostly incompatible.

Most Indians I know are good people, to say all Indians are scammers is like saying Italians are Mafia.
No doubt though, Indians coming from a poorer country are probably naturally opportunists, but they do work hard. I do notice the 1st generation immigrants tend to want to stay inside their communities, but the second and third generation ones I have seen are more than happy to assimilate.

Nope. They still stay in their own communities.

In my diverse community, I hired a young secretary from Pakistan and in time another from India. Both young girls that became good friends. The Indian girl came to me in tears. Her father intended to kill my Pakistani secretary. Why? She is from Pakistan, of course.

They were probably sent by Leftist Trump Haters. Fake just like the Jussie Smollett "attack".

So, the everyday citizen doesn't count, is that what you are saying?

Sure they do, they get one vote just like everyone else, do they constitute a majority, nope, just maybe a very small minority. All of the Americans of Indian descent I know are good people and very successful.

I have an Indian friend who was joking about "accentuating her Indian-ness" so she wouldn't get mistaken for a Mexican.

Guess that's not a winning strategy anymore.

The Radical Left racist hero Mamdani has promised his racist followers that he will put a tax on white people.

Thanks so much for creating a thread of this, I was meaning to do so but just hadn't gotten around to it yet.

Do you think that what's being reported in this news story will perhaps let some light into their brains when it comes to their erroneous opinions on racism in America as it applies specifically to people of African descent? I'm particularly thinking of Vivek Ramaswamy's comment discounting racism/racial discrimination accept in the event of "vicious" racial discrimination:

“Of course I condemn any form of vicious racial discrimination in this country. But I think that the presumption of your question is fundamentally based on a falsehood that really is the main form of racial discrimination we see in this country today… The reality is I condemn vicious racial discrimination in this country, but the kind of racial systemic discrimination we see today is discrimination based on race on a very different direction. You want to know what the best way to end discrimination on the basis of race? Stop discriminating on the basis of race.” New York Post+2Dangerous Intersection+2
And just FYI, the reason I sometimes use the term "people of African descent" instead of Black or African Americans is because being of African descent was the main beef that many white supremacists had with Black people and because at various points throughout history we were not all even considered American. At least not legally until after the ratification of the equal protection clause of the 14th amendment in 1868.

Now wait just a minute there. People and robots pretending to be people post random hateful comments on X?

How long has this been going on?

LOL. Answer: forever. You should see how they react to "Happy 4th of July"!

X goes to bed angry and wakes up angry.
