The word of God declares that God no longer speaks to mankind through Prophets. (Hebrews 1:1-2). Anyone claiming to be a prophet is obviously a false prophet.
Ephesians 4:11-15
11 And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;
12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:
13 Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:
14 That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;
15 But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ:
Does this verse sound like God has done away with apostles and prophets? Have all come to a unity of the faith? Have we all come to a knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ? NO!!! We haven't. apostles and prophets are to be a part of the true church of Jesus Christ until we reach that stage of being! They are to receive prophecy and instruction from God for his church!
Hebrews 1:1-2
1 God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,
2 Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;
Yes, God has spoken to us in times past through prophets, but that doesn't say that he will not speak to us still through prophets. When Jesus was on the earth he also spoke to us but that doesn't suggest that he also has stopped speaking to us. He continues, as Ephesians 4:11-15 tell us, to guide his church through apostles and prophets and will continue to do so until we all come to a unity of the faith. In other words, he will not stop!
