You've got some seriously wrong impressions.Along with the incentives we provide that have nothing to do with where they come from. The question is whether we will continue to volunteer to take those escaping from those socialist hellholes, at the cost of the safety and security of Americans.
Too bad Biden didn't appoint someone to address those root causes that motivate people to come to the United states. Such a senior WH official could have worked to help those countries improve, while at the same time reducing the incentives that the U.S. provides for both legal and illegal immigration.
Even a marginally competent person - with the full backing of the president - could have made great strides, no?
There are no incentives for coming here. How bad would it have to get before you left your home country? Especially knowing the hostility and hatred you would have to endure at you destination? How bad do things have to get at home before you taker off on foot overland in tropical summer heat, leaving everything you know and love behind?
