Back in the 70s, I went to Canada (when gas was $0.29 gal) and paid for a fillup with an American $5.00 bill. In those days your gas was pumped for you, along with a windshield wash and tire check. Anyway, the attendant got a bit surly over American money, because it's all the same 'colour' and hard to determine at a glance.

I've seen an earlier version of this message from across the pond before. Great wit!
