After the Russians had conquered the Crimea in a longer process from 1770-1800 they brought German, Italian, Greek, Bulgarian and Russian seddlers to the Crimea while or because the most Crimean Tatars fled into other Turkish regions. The Russian seddlers mostly had been Zaporozshky Cossacks - or with another word: Ukrainians!
By the way: Why try to murder the Russians their own most important roots? Your language came from the Ukraine - the Cossaks came from the Ukraine ... ¿Whatelse? ... How insane is Putin really? Why do you not call him "Czar Insanity 1st" meanwhile? ¿Or do you?
And there seems to be a common misconception about "Novorossiya". It wasn't just the Donbass, but also places like Rostov. And if it is "New Russia", that clearly means it wasn't Russia before.
Does England still have a claim on New England?
