Jesus called a woman out for being a whore.
The only biblical interactions between Jesus and prostitutes we have demonstrate his message of grace, forgiveness, and inclusion for social outcasts and marginalized subgroups of people.
Just the the opposite of Charlie Kirk's message.
He called the religious leaders "whitewashed tombs" and vipers.
He would say the same thing about religious leaders (and their followers) today.
In fact the best way to make the New Testament come alive is to substitute the word "Christian" everytime you see the word "Jew" realizing that the Jews were the predominant monotheistic religion of the day. Jews were the "Christians" of Jesus' day.
'For he is not a Jew, which is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision, which is outward in the flesh:
But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God."
---Romans 2:28-29
He told a woman reaching out to Him that He doesn't give what is meant for His people to DOGS.
Yes, and then, after testing her faith he heals the Canaanite woman's daughter illustrating that God's grace and mercy extends to everyone regardless of background.
Jesus' entire ministry was geared toward the message of inclusion. There were no "favorites" in God's kingdom (according to Jesus). This of course drove the most pious Jews of rhe day insane because of course they wanted to believe that THEY were God's favorite.
It is the same with phony Christians like Charlie Kirk today.
You think Jesus was just nice. He was not just nice. He told the truth in love.
True, and the most pious, self-important religious people of the day murdered him for that truth.
Christians would do the same thing today because his message to them would be very similiar to what pissed the Jews off back then...
basically "those of you who think yourselves first in the eyes of God...yeah...you're going to be last, and all those OTHER people...the ones you hate without formally using the word...the ones you slander and insult and oppress and victimize...God prefers THEIR company over yours.
So love EVERYBODY...equally...without judgement.
For the last shall be first."
