"Prime Minister Carney Declares Canada’s “Relationship with America is Over”

Canada Prime Minister Mark Carney delivers a speech to the nation notifying the Canadian people that the era of an economic and military collaborative relationship between the United States and Canada is over.

As the majority of Canadians cheer, the Prime Minister said that Canada as a free independent and sovereign nation will now embrace its connections to the United Kingdon and European Union and seek to replace their national dependency on the United States by severing ties in North America and entering a new era of close relations with Great Britain and Europe.

When questioned if Canada would join the European Union, a seemingly natural fit for the ideologically aligned country, Prime Minister Carney said, “nothing is off the table.” In a rather remarkable end to the confrontation, the Carney says the economic and military ties between the USA and Canada are officially declared severed. WATCH:

“We as Canadians, have agency”… What does that even mean?"

Aren't we both in NATO? Anyway, all this because they don't want to secure the border and lower their tariffs?
Okay, good luck with that.

All of this because the US president says he wants to annex them. And that they are the enemy.

If someone would tell you that I hate you and that I therefore have a right to take your house, that someone would no longer be considered a friend.

"Ontario Premier Doug Ford Vows to “inflict as much pain as possible on the American
people”

President Donald Trump talks about placing tariffs on Canadian goods. Ontario Premier Doug Ford talks about “inflicting as much pain as possible on the American people.” See the difference? Tell me again how the term “snowmexicans” is insulting. I digress.

A few thoughts. First, apparently Doug Ford doesn’t quite understand that tariffs on steel, aluminum and auto imports are not part of the “reciprocity” tariff regime. They are an entirely different category classified under national security directives to ensure American industrial capacity.

Second, as Canada moves into the “freedom fries” phase, voices like Doug Ford might want to consider the end of this continuum that finds the word “embargo” in the lingo. Perhaps President Trump would consider elevating the conversation to “reciprocity” in the banking sector. Again, I digress.

Ontario Premier Doug Ford announces the Canadian government intention to “inflict as much pain as possible against the American people.” WATCH:"

How'd that work out for Japan?

They could just stop the fentanyl from being smuggled into the US by their Chinese buddies.

LOL.....Good luck with all of that. America's Hat better stay in it's lane.

When was rape ever defined as a "relationship"?

Go find someone else to take advantage of, Hosers.

That's not an answer.

At the moment the US is in an abusive relationship with it's allies. You guys are counting on those allies not being willing to do anything about that abuse on account of the power you hold.

Here's the thing. Canada is an actual Democracy. This means it's politicians are beholden not to the US president, but to their constituents. And believe me, they do not share your admiration for Trump.

Let me try it like this. Can you understand that from a Canadian person's perspective this thing is not about fentanyl. It's about the US president reneging on a trade agreement HE negotiated. Do you understand that saying he wants to take over Canada is a hostile act? Or is your perspective the only valid one?

Four Canadians were executed by the Chinese recently for Drug Smuggling. I guess they didn't pay up for their drugs sourced from China.

China has 100 Canadian hostages.

Now Canada wants to ditch the US for China?? lmao. Go ahead!!

Pierre is a fantastic Canadian, and his message was sound. He missed the opportunity, though, to hit the liberals hard for allowing the relationship with the US to slide like it has. Still; a much better option and he will make sure that the US/Canada relationship is fair AND strong. I wish him well because the liberal bloke (Carney) seems a real doofus.

I wish Canada well.

Poilievre is an idiot who has been in Parliament for the past 20 years without ever doing anything. He hasn’t sponsored a bill, he hasn’t been given a portfolio the critic. He’s just sat there collecting a paycheque and doing nothing.

He has no platform, no programs and says Canada “is broken”. Stupid and useless.
