Democrats and some Republicans are calling Elon Musk "president" after he led the charge against a Republican-backed government funding bill, possibly sending the government into shutdown over the holidays.

Lawmakers are lining up to attack Donald Trump and Musk after they came out against a short-term spending compromise orchestrated by Republican House Speaker Mike Johnson to keep the government open until the president-elect's new term.

Pretty hypocritical given that the media has known for years, and admitted months ago, that the President - whose name is Joe Biden - has not been fit for office and is being managed by a shadow executive committee of some sort.

Trump is assembling a team of like-minded leaders to carry out the mandate that the people overwhelmingly gave him this year. Does it mean that any of them are the president? No, but it’s fun to watch Democrats spin new lies.

As to the CR itself, I actually could care less whether they pass it or what it may look like. If they don’t pass it and the government is “shutdown“ that will just be another opportunity to learn how little the government does. Either that or we will learn is willing to say they shut down when they are not. Most likely it will be a combination of those two.

I am looking forward to them rerunning that heartbreaking story about the guy who gives mule excursions in Yellowstone Park. Or maybe this time it will be about blind people who have to close their federal building news stands.

It will be a little schadenfreude type fun to watch Democrats cry over The shutdown! Always fun to ask them what the actual downside is to shut down and hear them say:

“it’s a shut down.! The government! Is… Shut down! Shut. Down.

“Why, the federal employees who have been sitting at home and collecting paychecks will now have to sit at home and wait for the paychecks to come later! Waaah!”

Hearing the Democrats whine about Elon Musk being the ‘real president’ is hilarious, considering how their current President Joe Biden doesn’t even know what year it is and nobody really knows who’s actually been running the country for the last four years.

And Elon won't be getting that govt. check he gets for billions from the US govt.

The media is ok with the U.S going bankrupt because media just speak for their wealthy donors.

Long before the rest of the world understands what is going on they will have shifted all of their money out of U.S greenbacks.

The madness has to stop, but you have the same old core people who negotiate in secrecy and then drop 1500 pages on the rest and take Pelosis stance of "you have to pass it to know what's in it".

China is waiting patiently for the economic collapse to occur. It's their time to rule the world they believe and I don't see enough wise policies to counter that assertion.

It's not clever in the least.

As I have said before it is simply amazing what people will believe. You can find people that believe in a flat earth, a hollow earth, a cure all snake oil and anything else. It is even easier for people to believe outrages claims if they do not like the person or group.

Why is this so difficult for people to accept? Trump's only reason for running this year was to keep his ass out of a possible prison term. He seems to be even less interested in the job this time around. That's why he's stacking his nominees with his best buds this time. They will do the heavy lifting while he handles the easy stuff. Elon Musk is already the defacto Vice President. There's a part of me that wants to file a missing persons report on JD Vance, who has all but vanished. :auiqs.jpg:I'm genuinely worried for the guy. Republicans have so badly cucked themselves to Trump that they are floating the idea of using an obscure law to make Musk Speaker of the House. :)

Different time now...China has become a manufacturing superpower...Their collapse will be felt around the world.

America in particular shipped all of their industries to China for the benefit of a handful of big shareholders and CEOs. You now have the privilege of borrowing from the same Communist Super Power who profited from all of this.

Brilliant moves all around. A new methodology to collapse an entire hemisphere broadly referred to as "The West". Throw in "the climate change scare" and you have an even quicker path.

Kind of silly to criticize Trump for not exercising presidential power when he hasn’t even been sworn in yet.

But but I really want to believe every bad thing I read no matter how far fetched, no matter if it comes from some internet far left so called news site. Just because I am a part of the democrat cult

If cleaver talking points lead to good government, I'd vote solid Democrat every time. But our Democrat's cleaver talking points are designed to be destructive to our government. They want America to fail. Democrats are evil

This makes perfect sense. Trump never wanted the job, he just wanted the title.

The president should be the coordinator of talent greater than his own. Don't know how that will work with Trump his ego is far too large. They may have hit on something with the President Musk thing..... Trump is reflexively egotistical enough to let it cause problems.
