People using upmarket brans to impress visitors is not a new phenomenon. Waitrose is the UK supermarket for the upper classes and does sell quality food. Its interesting that they have noticed folk spending more. Maybe the recession is over.

Olive oil snobbery isnt new either. When Im making vinaigrette for my salad I tend to use walnut oil. It has a delicate taste. I certainly wouldnt pay those inflated prices. I cant think of anything else I would use it for.

Olive oil helps cleanse your liver and gall bladder, and it's supposedly not a fatty oil. For some reason after I started cooking only with Olive oil my cholesterol went lower than it was when I was in the Army.
