Porcupine eating Apples

Again, this was in the evening, and my camera sucs in the evening so the pics aren't that clear, but it was cute as heck to see this thing in the tree...

again, this was at the tree edge of the Meadow in front and side of my house...

This was a first! I had never seen a porcupine before....thought it was some sort of sloth when my hubby and I were taking the pics...i mean, who ever heard of porcupines being in the middle of an apple tree? hahahahahaha! I never have!!!

It wasn't untill i got home and looked it up on the computer did i find out it was a porcupine!!!!

Another cool experience!
 
Porcupines are basically arborial.

I wasn't aware they were fond of apples though.
 
I didn't know they could climb trees. That's amazing.

i didn't either!

and this little porcupine, couldn't give two hoots that we were right there taking pics, as close as 6 feet at some points....all he could do was eat those apples, like they had some drug in them, that he couldn't get enough of....

it was lovely....
