HUNT VALLEY, Md. (TNND) — Graham Platner, the presumptive Democratic nominee in Maine’s U.S. Senate race, reportedly joked in Reddit posts years ago about masturbating in one porta-potty and admiring penile graffiti in another.

The Maine Monitor news outlet has saved comments it says Platner posted over the last decade and a half and later deleted, including jokes about an arousing smell of toilet water and a “Hot Rod C**k.” The candidate's campaign team hasn’t returned a request for comment.


Platner, a veteran, reportedly shared one of the messages in a 2017 response to a question about comforting smells for servicemembers. A user asked veterans about scents that helped them feel nostalgic or refocus on the present.

Platner, according to The Maine Monitor, replied, “I still have to jerk off every time I sit in a portas***ter...that blue water smell conditioned me.”
