Its an upset for the member for Mar y Lago. Sucking up to Trump is only the second policy he has. Punishing immigrants is the other. Yet every constituency in the UK, including his own in Clacton, wants closer ties with Europe.

Its about time Starmer bit the bullet and stopped avoiding this issue. The encouraging signs this week suggest that we may be netering a customs union. We can do that without any need for a referendum.

Even the tories admit it has been a disaster. Its about time the govt stood up and made the case for Britain IN EUROPE.

We need tokeep trump and his cabinet at arms length. They are real rapists.

Good luck with that. Starmer has performed like a complete ***** from my observation.
It could be worse. We might still have Sunak or even Badenough. If the left leaning parties band together next time labour would be forced to join.
It might be enough to jolt us back into the eu. As it is a customs union is a start. Nobody voted for isolation from europe. Brexit has been such a disaster the majority want back in.
Trump is so erratic nobody would pin their hopes on a trade deal. We need to work with our neighbours not America.

Move closer to Canada now that they hate Trump too. Maybe the US can rent you some land on Greenland.

Its one of the craziest things in modern politics. Obviously we are better off in the eu. We cant stand up to the fascist threat of trump alone. Its like ww2 where we needed allies to beat Hitler.
Vut starmer is terrified of reopening the brexit pandora.

He decided on that a few years back and hasnt got the flexibility to change his mind. So his policy is the opposite of what people want.

His timidity is wrecking Britain. We have gone thru 14 years of decline but he lacks the bottle to turn it round.

Trump is not the UK's big problem.. Labour's victory was the result of many false promises that cannot be reconciled. That isn't timidity. It is just a matter of deciding which ones won't get you kicked to the curb if you do them at the expense of breaking your word on the others. As I have pointed out to you before, you cannot fulfill your promises of massive new investments, no cuts to existing programs, and no taxes in a stagnant economy. It just isn't possible. If the UK doesn't want to grow trade with the US or rejoin the EU, there are other avenues they could pursue--South America, Northern Africa, the MIddle East, Asia. They just want the easy money without having to make the obvious choice when it comes to EU or America. In the mean time, Starmer is pissing off more and more people with his farm taxes and his move away from green promises that run in conflict with economic growth. He needs to poo or get off the pot if he wants to remain PM for much longer. Another year of indecision and bad decisions will be his undoing.

Maybe we should just put tariffs on everything ? That always works well.

Ignoring a market of half a billion people next door won't help.

Trump will implode in less than a year. Most folk wont want anything to do with nazis. These things ebb and flow, Then sensible folk will take over.

Problem is Genocide Joe could prove to be worse for what he did when in power, i don't have any illusions about Trump but he has been known to blow hot and cold, but i believe he is a Zionist, but we shall see what he does, he already said a good move would be for Arab Countries to take in Palestinians and Gaza has a lot of potential, for what he didn't say probably luxury villas with a sea view, they would have to dig all the dead kids out from under the rubble first, he wants Arab Countries to help those Zionist child killers to ethnically cleanse Gaza.
