While current political violence is being blamed, in part, on uncontrolled hatred on social media, a Jungian perspective may reveal another cultural factor: the media obsession with killer females and warrior women. The “femme fatale,” according to Carl Jung, was the negative expression of a man’s anima or Inner woman.

The long string of movies with deadly females, such as Kill Bill, La Femme Nikita, Salt, Atomic Blonde, Hannah, and Aeon Flux may reflect a male mindset that has not outgrown an anima obsession that equates sex with death, and lures men with the false promise that violence will be rewarded with sex.

A subset of these immature men would include transgender individuals who want to become warrior women.

Research proved many years ago that fantasy or fiction violence does not make people violent. Alfred Bandura's famous BoBo doll study showed that violence must be seen or experienced in reality. If fantasy violence caused actual violence Japan would have the most violence since their fantasy violence is over the top.
What are seeing today is people with mental illness being triggered by the relentless hate speech from the woke progressive left and its media supporters.

Japan has less violence, in part, because it has less guns. They also have a more cohesive culture. Some gang members have looked to the movie Scarface as a model to live by. They would rather live like a lion for a few short years than live as a lamb for many. There is also some evidence that the reckless driving in "side shows" has been fueled by the Fast and Furious movies.

False guns do not cause violence violent people do and violent people come from families without fathers. The research is very clear.
Legal guns stop violence as they prevent almost a million violent crimes. Crime hs declined as guns sales increased

Some gun rights supporters cite a Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) report that was quietly removed from the agency's website after pressure from gun control advocates. This report, based on a 1995 study by criminologist Gary Kleck, suggested high numbers of defensive gun uses (DGUs), with estimates ranging from 60,000 to 2.5 million annually. The report noted that some research found fewer injuries when a firearm was used for self-defense.
