I have lived all around, but yes, am from Alabama. Anniston is in the upper part of the state..kinda sorta.....I am from the center of the state, and about to be on the Gulf. ♥♥ Love my beach.

I have lived all around, but yes, am from Alabama. Anniston is in the upper part of the state..kinda sorta.....I am from the center of the state, and about to be on the Gulf. ♥♥ Love my beach.

Southern Alabama is the Deep South and so is Albany, Georgia where I had contracts at the Marine Corps Logistics Base. Open bidding for government contracts if you have a proven track record and low bidder wins, call me a Bottom Feeder.

Definitely deep south, but the atmosphere down at the beach area is different. Love it. Plus people from all over the country live and or come there.

I miss my beach too. But I will be going back in April for a docs visit and will stay a few days, then come back to the mountains.

I saw my first wild dolphin from a white sand beach on the Gulf of Mexico on the coast of Alabama when I was five years old. I have always spoke off the cuff and at a gas station down there I told the gas station attendant you are bad because of the slaves. I was the one who started it and Dad came to my defense. The gas station attendant backed down from Dad.
