I know as I'm getting used to this skin already but I prefer darker. It's a bit too bright for me.
I have old eyes that are sensitive to the bright whites, really the bright any color so I added an extension to My chrome browser called "Dark Reader".
It will turn ANY website to a dark theme and save you from shedding tears.

Have you tried using the Dark version? Someone might've already mentioned that, but if you click on the moon icon, you'll see "System, Light and Dark" options.
I have it on Dark for now, but hopefully we'll have the option for the old skins soon, maybe they're still updating.
I currently don't have the moon icon. I'm on my smartphone right now.
