Police appear to have a solid lead in the ballot box burning debacle. It appears to be a black or dark-colored 2001-2004 Volvo S-60. They believe it may be the same vehicle tied to the Vancouver, Washington area. Turns out now that the fire bomb was actually attached to the OUTSIDE of the box and not actually dropped inside. If you know anyone suspicious in these areas that drives such a vehicle, the police definitely might want to talk to you.

I just did a search and they own Smart as well as Renault Korea and Benelli motorcycles. I didn't recognize the other companies.

I talked to my buddy about this. Logically, Washington is a deep blue state, so it would be intuitive to assume its a Republican trying to destroy Democrat votes. On the other hand, it'll have no real effect on the final result, while allowing the media to drone on about the legendary, "far right extremists" lurking around every corner. I disagree. Destroying ballots in deep blue (or red) states has no electoral impact. Instead, it can undermine confidence in upcoming elections by someone who fears the outcome.
