Why is Rivers doing this? He's got 11 kids. He's a grandpa, and one of his sons is a 5 star recruit going into college next year. It also resets his HOF eligibility though to be fair I dont have him making the HOF anyway so I guess that's a wash. I dont see how this helps his legacy.

Just a possible guess. Will he actually play? Good money for standing around with a clip board if not.

I think all the Colts QB's are hurt. I dont think Rivers needs the money, his net worth is north of 100 million.

I can’t imagine that he needs the money.

He must miss the game.

His kids are a little older now. It would be neat for them to see Dad out there again. The kids will be proud.

Something like that.

That's what I was thinking too. He's probably kept himself in shape and thinks it's now or never for one last taste of NFL competition and camaraderie.

RPO, baby!

Sounds like it is very likely Rivers starts Sunday. He's not only playing his first NFL game in 5 years he is starting against one of the best defenses in the NFL. Oh boy, good luck big fella I'm rooting for you!

I’m definitely not starting Rivers against Seattle. They have the most sacks in the NFL

What "Legacy" did Phillip Rivers even have? IMO he's a borderline HOF'er at best.
