Philippines and Vietnam plan to seal defense MOU this year
Defense ministers sign letters of intent to bolster security ties

The Philippines and Vietnam signed a defense cooperation agreement on Friday in Manila, marking a significant strengthening in relations for the two Southeast Asian nations that face Chinese aggression in the South China Sea.
Philippine Defense Secretary Gilberto Teodoro and his Vietnamese counterpart Phan Van Giang signed letters of intent to facilitate closer ties after Phan paid a courtesy call on Philippine President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.
Marcos described the defense minister's visit, Phan's first to the Philippines, as a "very significant point in the history between our two countries."
Another positive step to reign in China.
