I have to say, Hamas is as dumb as a bunch of rocks. I think their strategy has always been to let themselves and the Palestinians by martyrs, bringing worldwide sympathy to their cause so that, in the end, they will win. But, that doesn't work if there is nothing of them left. They have also tried to draw Iran and other Muslim countries into the battle thinking that they won't be alone but that has not worked. The rest of the Middle East is standing by watching them being elimated.
