It's permanent for Brian (fanciful) Williams. Not coming back to NBC; not now, not soon, never.

He's officially relegated to MSNBC - a liberal among liberals where his audience will be counted on the fingers of a dozen hands. If somebody can find a chimp with that many:

Disgraced NBC anchor demoted black successor makes history - Yahoo News UK

"The 56-year-old Williams -- whose embellishment of an Iraq war story led to his suspension -- has been shifted to sister cable network MSNBC, where he will take over as anchor of breaking news and special reports in mid-August."

"Williams was suspended in February for six months and saw his work investigated after he admitted changing a tale about coming under fire and amid accusations that he stretched the truth on other occasions."

Tempting though it might be to consider his replacement a triumph of EEO run wild that would not be necessarily true. I've watched Lester Holt a few times and felt he was really trying to be honest - while remaining, of course, within corporate guidlines.

"Lester Holt -- who has been filling in for Williams -- will permanently take over as anchor of NBC Nightly News, in a breakthrough for black journalists."

Was there really any need for Yahoo.news to bring his race into it? But they did and now it's in play.

Too bad Williams is coming back, period.

Demoted to MSNBC that's about as far as you can fall on the bright side truth and accuracy is not a requirment to work there so he should fit right in.

He is still going to get paid between 8-10 million at MSLSD.

Lying pays........
