Like a lot of Trump supporters, he believed Trump. Until he could believe him no more. Most Trump supporters stayed loyal even through the insurrection. Even to this day. But a lot of good/moderate Republicans jumped ship or got tossed under the bus from Jeff Sessions to Rex Tillerson.

And I believe Steve Bannon stayed loyal and in communication with Trump even after Trump fired him.
