You may not be able to "control" it - But mitigation is definitely possible ... Dude.

Control is possible in warm weather even without closing schools and restaurants. If people would follow grade school science, then even in winter we might at worse see having to put schools into 'vacation' for 2-3 weeks to stop spikes in individual states. I think it was arne Duncan who said a week or so ago that summer vacations don't make sense in today's econ anyway. Just let families have long weekends sometimes and more time over holidays. The only real family vacations we ever had were two Disney World trips, and a few visits to out of state relatives. Other than that, it was going to sports tournaments and stuff.
