I was going to post a thread about references to pedophilia in popular music. But after finding so many instances, I was so appalled that I won't list them all..

Yup..it does point out the very real problem of our culture normalizing attraction to minors.
I note that the older the song the more likely it is to be inappropriate...so perhaps awareness is better among the new generations

This was the most egregious, I found--just creepy..very creepy:

In many countries 17 isn’t a minor. You can’t see everything through an American lens.

Legal adulthood is currently and somewhat arbitrarily set at 18 in most of the US. That could drop to mid teens later this century as more practical education replaces four years of high school and more years of college.
 
The vast majority of these songs are not about pedophilia.

They are about being skeezy older men.

There is a difference.

Just sayin - it is not pedophilia. Pedophilia is sexual attraction to pre-pubescent children.
If someone had a song about "My 10 year old niece is HOT!" - then it would be pedo
