1. Japan was, indeed, "dastardly" in attacking without a warning. (I think FDR used that adjective.)
2. It resulted in thousands of American deaths at Pearl Harbor. (Just heard that the vets who were there are too old during this pandemic to attend any ceremonies.)
3. It resulted in 100,000 law-abiding and productive Japanese people here in California being shipped off to relocation camps.
a. If war with China ever occurs, hopefully the American government will NOT lock up all the Chinese people in the United States.
a. Although I voted twice for President Trump, he WAS wrong to call it the "Chinese virus," thus playing on the prejudice of ignorant people.
Interestingly, the Japanese code had been broken years before the attack on Pearl Harbor. So why did they not intercept those codes and defend appropriately? In fact, only 6 months later we are told that the US delivered a decisive victory at Midway because the Japanese was used to deliver the victory, so why not at Pearl?
This question should haunt every person who has sold his soul to the Progressive movement that FDR championed, and for which is a forefather. As for his racism against Japanese Americans, that is ignored entirely as Trump is simultaneously proclaimed as the most racist President in US history even though he has NEVER approached violating the constitutional rights and freedom of people based on simply someone's race like FDR did. And to this day, if you hear Progressive academics rate US Presidents, FDR is always at the top and Trump at the bottom.
Very telling.
For me, FDR was a tampon and this Progressive sheep that came later was the nation's discharge as they sow more racial divide
