My kid got generous financial aid based on where she grew up, sports and academics. That aid was largely paid for by people who have lots more money than I do donating money often cause they were alumni, or because they were just rich, and that got their kids a leg up. Often times these people were not even Americans. But the money got those kids a leg up, and some kid with better scores didn't get in .... but very possibly they couldn't have affored to go without financial aid.

So I have absolutely no problem with how Jared and Ivanka got in (and Eric couldn't make the cut even with Dad's help, LOL) to Wharton. Except when they pretend they got in on the merits. As an old poster we knew who went by the tag Richie said "don't start out on second base and act like you hit a triple.
