Negroes were actually more safe when we had segregation. Much less crime and it was mostly confined to the Black areas. Also, that was before that idiot LBJ decided to put all the Negroes on welfare and the Negroes were taking care of their families a lot more back then.

The best thing would have been to send all the Negroes back to Africa when we didn't need them to pick cotton anymore. However, that didn't happen. The next best thing would have been to never end segregation but that didn't happen either.
