The Central Park Five were all guilty as hell, and anyone following the story knows it. They all PLEADED GUILTY, with both lawyers and parents present. Gee, wonder why they would do that if they were innocent? It's a puzzle isn't it?
It was known at trial that there was a sixth attacker, whose DNA was found on the victim. This was not in dispute. Later that attacker confessed to the crime from his prison cell (convicted on another crime) which caused the New York DA to exonerate the CP5. Not only that, but they awarded the CP5 MILLIONS of taxpayer dollars for their trouble!
Everything wrong with New York's criminal justice system, in one lengthy case. Rapists were rightly convicted, then paid millions for their inconvenience.
To those who dispute the above, please provide an explanation of why they pleaded guilty. With their lawyers agreeing to it.
