Jesus, the Americans are so for freedom of speech, freedom of expression, the 1st Amendment etc etc, and .. boom .. all that outcry because of a 5-seconds scene. You need to grow up, it is not the 18th century anymore.

That is quite okay, to express your opinion, I mean. But the way you do that, I have a feeling you would have barred that completely from being translated in the US.Jesus, whoever the **** you are is so for freedom of speech, freedom of expression, the 1st amendment and...boom....you post a wanky little diatribe all because we're exercising our freedom of speech to be utterly repulsed by this pathetic garbage.
Seriously. These peope live in an alternate reality.Just imagine being so ******* self-centered to think that the country of France would design its opening ceremony just to piss off American snowflake Christians.

As far as I know none of those match the hubris of the Americans that think everything in the world revolves around them.

I'll be truthful right off the bat:
I'm not Christian.
I'm a conflicted agnostic.
But who cares about my own spiritual beliefs or lack thereof?
This is universally repugnant whether you're a secular libertarian populist (moi'), or a fundamentalist evangelical Christian.
Because it is a direct affront to all of Western civilization.
It besmirches some of the very best of what we've had to offer since the rise of Ancient Greece.
Sure, it may have been funny in a stoner movie - or at least not offensive if cast as a throw out sketch in some college play/performance.
But this was literally the opening of the Paris Olympics, circa 2024.
And why in the where of **** is Dionysus suddenly a blue Will Ferrell with a ginger beard???
And why do they always have to go full PEDO?
Yeah, it's soooooo cutting edge.
Real serious stuff.
This is all the cultural Left has to offer.
Not greatness.
But worthless self-parody insecurely disguised as intellectual cultural commentary.
They are failed people, and they need us to submit to indulge their fee fees.
I think that the vast majority of people isn't so outraged by this performance. After all that fuss, I watched the ceremony today. Nothing special, actually, sometimes even boring. And for me, all that 'Christian' outcry is far the same as a queer movement - don't support and don't care. Ironically, these devote Christians make good advertising for this ceremony. And I wouldn't be surprised at all if that was the goal. It's true that I wouldn't have made the decision for that abomination to be the opening act of the Olympics.
But that likely puts me in the same category as the vast majority of people - even French people.
It has nothing to do with censorship, nor is anyone disputing their right to have done it.
But I guarantee you it wasn't by popular demand.

Here, we should decide exactly on what this outcry is about. About the queers taking part in the ceremony, or about their parody on some religious motives. If this scene were played by straight males in decent clothes, would be that okay?Again, I'm not a devout Christian.
I dunno about wherever you reside, but over here poll after poll shows the public is tired of the whole LGBTQ nonsense in our faces 24/7, particularly when it comes to children.
Gay marriage is legal, no one cares who you have sex with as long as it's lawful and consensual.
Just live your lives.
We don't need the gaslighting.

Sad they didn't do something Islamic
