Likewise, in the end, every nation's backstop is the military. You either have civilians in charge of the national defense, or a strongman. IN the end, it is a nation's military that gives it's government the force of law.

The USA financed a totally meaningless war against sandal wearing militias for 20 YEARS - for NOTHING in Afghanistan, spending together with it's (former?) NATO allies almost US$ 2.8 Trillion. - aka around US$ 140 Billion/year. !! against sandal dudes.
And now some Felon comes along and talks about less then US$ 320 Billion spend together with it's (former?) NATO allies, in a 3 year war - aka US$ 107 Billion/year, against a SUPERPOWER having attacked a sovereign European country, just next to NATO - of being too much??? whilst confabulating over the ridiculous Russian threat of a nuclear war "looming on the horizon" and smearing Zelinsky all over with well known Russian propaganda.
The Felon is OBVIOUSLY bought by, or working for Russia.
BTW: I was one of those who criticized the extreme lame US+NATO engagement towards the Ukraine in the first 12 month - thus even making it possible for Russia to keep Crimea and push further into Donbass and Luhansk. Ukraine was constantly promised "unconditional" support by NATO.
When China mediated a ceasefire (with at the time far better conditions for Ukraine) NATO & the USA told Zelensky - you can't accept - we will support you to fight on!!!

Check out the Falkland war, Thatcher ordered the British Forces into action, and Elisabeth did her job that she was paid for, and thus waved patriotically.

Russia's conventional military force is de-facto KAPUTT - non-existent, since beginning of 2024, in view of modern NATO weaponry.

Russia is even DEPENDED onto ammo from N-Korea - so where is the Felons threat or action against N-Korea to stop ammo supplies? What are the Felons actions in regards to stopping Iran to supply Russia with drones, etc??
The Felons ONLY actions are to support solely Russia via demanding Ukraine to cede occupied territory to Russia, hand over their minerals to Russia and the USA, without even discussing about reparation payments coming from Russia, nor offering any solid security assurances from the USA - to prevent Russia from attacking again.

Wrong on both counts. I am neither maga, nor anti war. I think we need to be involved when the situation warrants it, and not when it doesn't. Now, we just happen to be attached to Ukraine because of a treaty ww made with them long ago. So, yeah, we are obligated to help them. Great, let's help them by ending this war as quickly as possible. Throwing money at them only prolongs the war.
Diplomacy or deterrence...one or the other.

Okay...so the answer is to endlessly supply ukraine with weapons and cash. So, we are now bound at the hip to any country who is attacked and we have to shell out hundreds of billions in cash and weapons to them? What's the goal here, to keep helping them fight a war until one side loses enough people to surrender?
Seems like the countries who signed on to NPT are tucked when a much larger nuclear armed country decides to attack it, and it means that the whole world gets drawn into their war, with no clear end in sight, and Russia knows this because since we all signed NPT, Ukraine will never have nuclear weapons, and the only thing the rest of us can do is just supply them with resources to keep the war going.
As far as russias forces, aren't they getting most of their fighters out of the prisons?
