For some people, no matter how often they have proven to them that the emperor is naked, they still insist on seeing imaginary clothes.
Consistently, and even as recently as the State of the Union address, President Donald Trump has not minced words when speaking about issues that are obviously dangerous and destructive to America.
How, then, is it possible that, with so many outlandish, persistent issues, ordinary folks seem to be missing the blatantly obvious? For example, why do everyday Americans listen to the twisted “logic” of the Woke mindset and not say, “What?! That doesn’t make sense?!”
Think about the waywardness of woke thinking when it comes to addressing three extremely simple, straightforward ideas President Trump posited:
- “There are two sexes.”
- “Men masquerading as women do not belong in women’s sports.”
- “The first duty of the American government is to protect American citizens, not illegal aliens.”
And even if we currently live in a world that pressures people to question these very questions, once brought out into the light of a public forum, should we not expect that any observer would exclaim, “Of course! I see that! In fact, I knew that all along!”
When using a rational mind, people store away what they have seen or heard so that when the same or similar experience presents itself, they can deal with the new event, evidence, or fact rationally. At least, that’s the way learning is supposed to work—and is even designed to work.

However, in this very limited diagnosis of missing the obvious illogic of Woke logic (and setting aside nefarious reasons people become misguided), I offer insight from the great Christian martyr Dietrich Bonhoeffer. Perhaps Bonhoeffer’s blunt observation made back in 1940s Germany zeroes in on what’s at the heart of rabid Woke adherence today. These prescient words are found in Bonhoeffer’s Letters and Papers from Prison, in a section called, “On Stupidity”:
- “Stupidity is a more dangerous enemy of the good than malice. One may protest against evil; it can be exposed and, if need be, prevented by use of force.
- “Evil always carries within itself the germ of its own subversion in that it leaves behind in human beings at least a sense of unease.
- “Against stupidity we are defenseless.
- “Neither protests nor the use of force accomplish anything here; reasons fall on deaf ears; facts that contradict one’s prejudgment simply need not be believed -- in such moments the stupid person even becomes critical -- and when facts are irrefutable they are just pushed aside as inconsequential, as incidental.
- “In all this the stupid person, in contrast to the malicious one, is utterly self-satisfied and, being easily irritated, becomes dangerous by going on the attack.
- “For this reason, greater caution is called for than with a malicious one.
- “Never again will we try to persuade the stupid person with reasons, for it is senseless and dangerous.”
So, is it that simple? Is the reason why so many don’t understand that “there are two sexes” and that “the first duty of the American government is to protect American citizens, not illegal aliens”—does it all come down to one obvious answer:
Stupidity?

Just look at how many people believe all of the woke ideas the Democrats are pushing.
The Communist Marxist Socialist left removed critical thinking from our education system and replaced it with
critical pedagogy.
The current crop of fools have been taught thru school & college that reality is whatever they want to believe. Both “science” and new age religion verify their beliefs—and yes, we’ve unfortunately raised at least two generations of idiots.
The Leftists who reject reality are cutting their nose off to spite their face. Their detachment from reality and their TDS are intertwined and constantly reinforced by subversive Deep State Quisling media. If they acknowledge reality now it would be a victory for Trump, so they can't do it. It would also be a victory for normal folks and Trump voters, and they cannot have that.
