Have we gone soft over the years? It looks like the whole family worked hard from sun up to sundown. It shows women and children doing hard manual labor in filthy conditions and men doing even harder, dirtier, and more dangerous work climbing redwoods to chop them down, rolling logs through a river with a grizzly eating salmon on the bank twenty feet away, walking around on beams building skyscrapers etc.

I think its funny , as far as people doing simple things simple thinga compared to manual labor people don't even know how to cook ANYMORE .
