FORT GIBSON, Okla. (KTUL) - On Christmas Eve in Fort Gibson, a man was arrested for his wedding proposal. Turns out, that was all part of the plan.

"I wanted to come up with a clever idea, and I wanted to scare her a little bit," Harley Barnett said. "It's something clever and different. I'm just that guy."

Harley was familiar with Fort Gibson police. He'd been arrested by them -- specifically, by officer Tiffany Yarborough -- several times in the past. He's since cleaned up his act, but he decided for this proposal, he should enlist Yarborough to arrest him one more time.

I give him credit for his creativity. I love when people do what hasn't been done before or do what has been done, but very few times if any at all
