Oil prices are set on a global market, and there’s little a president can do to significantly change them.
The U.S. is also already producing oil at peak levels.

Federal lands and waters contribute about 24% of the total oil produced in the United States.
Federal lands also contribute about 11% of the country's natural gas production.
The federal government owns 2.46 billion acres of mineral estate, which is more than 62% of the nation's total.
However, the majority of the country's oil and natural gas comes from private and state lands.

“No more drilling on federal lands, no more drilling including offshore—no ability for the oil industry to continue to drill—period,”
Biden said when he ran for office. And, Biden is implementing those words, which is increasing energy prices for Americans.

So Biden's"no more drilling on federal lands"statement was evident by the below.
Biden was ready to reduce 24% of the USA oil production. Remember that.... when you hear "drill baby drill"!!!

Except flood the market, re-engage Saudi Arabia and request that they release more.

What you are showing is the new and successful oil permits. What you don't show is that under Biden, there has been more output than any other President. But that doesn't really mean a thing except we are exporting more than we are importing. Yes, Karen, we count the oil exchange we have with Canada as imported oil.

And none of this has anything to do with oil and gasoline prices. You want gas prices to go down, in the US? Build more refineries. We have more available oil than we can process at any given time. But the oil refinery is so dirty, try and find a community that would welcome the new refineries.

Democrats are WAY bigger assholes than that. Democrats have jacked up the cost at EVERY possible point in the supply chain on purpose. With taxes. With regulations and costly time consuming red tape. By withholding the best drilling sites and offering up shit sites that are far more costly.

It's not just about barrels produced. Do not underestimate what douchebags Democrats are.

The more we can export and the more we can import from allies like Canada, the price can also go down for oil and gasoline. Building more refineries will also lower prices. The key is being energy enemy independent. 47.7% of California land is Federally owned. Newsom is trying to get prepared to fight anything Trump does. So, I hope Trump builds 30 new refineries in California.

Is that why the US strategic oil reserve level is about a third lower than it was five years ago---because of this great oil production under Biden?

Utah tried to operate the way you imagine (dream) things should be. They cut the state taxes on fuels to the bone. Truckers would make sure they had enough fuel coming into Utah on I70 to refuel in Green River instead of Grand Junction. There was a problem in that method. Utah didn't have the tax base to match the Federal Tax Money for the Interstates and US Highways. The Truckers had to slow down and still had a very sharpe increase in operating costs due to the damage from the highways not being maintained properly. Utah had to increase their tax rate so they could repair the roads or lose shipping to either I40 or I80. And the mechanical damage to the vehicles was lessened. I drove a route between Salt Lake City and Grand Junction and was so happy when they started repairing the Interstate and the US Highways.

And he would have to sell that idea to the locals who are already unindated with dirty air. You seem to think tRump is the almighty.

Saudi's dump on or strangle the market based on what suits them. That is usually based on US foreign policy and what they get out of it.
One big issue is that US refining capacity is sort of fixed because of green weenie nonsense and nimby, new refinery capacity is zilch.

I seriously doubt that will happen. Oil companies are abandoning CA. Too many regulations, hostile government and EV mandates.
47.7% of the land is on Federal land which means Newsom can't do a thing to stop the Federal government from building refineries.

Federal land is Federal land. He can do what he wants on Federal land. Of course, he will want to get the locals to join with him. If it lowers gasoline prices and cuts the price in half and offers jobs, I think he will win the locals over.

Ok, say the fed plops a refinery at the edge of Vandenberg AFB. Ya gotta get the oil to that refinery and Newscum can play hell with that.

Except for the fact that the government does not build refineries. They license the construction, but private companies build, maintain and operate the refineries on private land. Permits are issued for drilling and exploration on public land.

Seriously, nobody is talking about cutting to the bone. We are talking about not intentionally JACKING UP THE COST EVEN MORE because of a retarded war on fossil fuels. At the peak of inflation my dumb ass Dem run blue state...yeah jacked up the gas tax a whopping 50 cents PER GALLON. Assholes! Way to gut punch the poor and working class Dem stupid shits.

Are you in WA?

Federal highways. Trump can always withhold funds for other things. And, why stop potential jobs which yield more California tax revenues.

Here comes the Trump! He will change what is needed.
