Obama's last two years his best?

This thread reminds me of a Snickers commercial from the 1960's when Johnny Unitas was selling Snickers as health food...
"Milk chocolate made from real milk; creamy nougat made from whole eggs; and peanuts packed with protein!"
"Snickers. The good food candy bar!"
"Obama; two more years of successful leadership." Ha!

Sneaker as a health food!!!!! that is precious!!! :D

You made my day with the comparison:thup:

sneaker ...

you made MY day ..

That too!

Obama's positive legacy will haunt many of you nutcases until you take your last breath.

I have a feeling that next year's SOTU address will kick off a two year promotional campaign that......finally......sees this president take credit for all the good he has done. Call it a hunch.
He's been the benefactor of a promotional campaign run by our media since 2006 and he's only regenerated the Cold War; kept our economy in the hole with reduced wages against higher costs and steady high unemployment; watched Iran build a nuke; exacerbated racial segregation and division with his injection into Ferguson, Garner, Trayvon, etc.; undermined every sacrifice made by our military in Iraq and Afghanistan...
Wow, Obama regeerated the Cold War?......how's that work?
He has emboldened Russia to the point that they invaded Ukraine. Did you miss that one? Were you watching DeMSNBC or something?

History will look at what Obama accomplished and his lasting legacy

Agreed. He'll go down as the most divisive and least accomplished in American history.

No he won't. I'm 50. I'll live long enough to determine if this prediction is true. How about you? Who's opinion will you trust? Let 20 years pass. You'll then know.

Of course.....what you have written here is baseless hyperbole. You've got no standing.

Obama got the Europeans to agree to sanctions and now the Russian economy is cratering.

Republican crowing about having a "lame duck" Obama are not coming to fruition. President Obama is racking up accomplishment to rival his first two years

The liberation of Barack Obama - The Week

First came a landmark climate change deal with China, which boosted hopes that the global community could reach agreement on a successor to the Kyoto Protocol in 2015. The deal was the direct result of new EPA emissions regulations announced earlier in the summer, which amount to "the strongest action ever taken by the U.S. government to fight climate change," according to New York's Jonathan Chait.
Then came Obama's executive order to allow about five million undocumented immigrants to legally remain in the United States. It was a move that not only fulfilled an important liberal goal and shored up a crucial constituency for the Democratic Party, but also may have boxed in Republican presidential hopefuls on the issue.
Then there was the news that 2014 has been the best year for job creation since 1999, which may lift Obama's approval ratings and create space for the president to actually make some deals with the GOP.
This weekend, the Senate began ramming through Obama's judicial and executive appointments, thanks to an unintended assist from Sens. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) and Mike Lee (R-Utah).
And now Russian President Vladimir Putin, previously seen as wreaking havoc in Ukraine because of Obama's supposed inability to lead, is reeling from a currency crisis that can be partly attributed to sanctions that Obama championed.
More could be on the way. According to Steve Coll at The New Yorker, Obama is also considering closing the military prison at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba — for real this time.

Just in today...Obama normalizing relations with Cuba

rightwinger,

Does pissing of the nut jobs count as an achievement? It should.

Only Congress can approve treaties. Sorry...it's in the Constitution. Ditto the immigrate amnesty.

What a sad legacy for a "Constitutional" lawyer to leave. :(

The only good part about obama's use of executive action is that it can all be undone by subsequent executive action without discussion.

No, that's not true. Bush did a lot in response.
Regardless, Bush is no excuse for obama. You need to stay on topic.

U.S. National Debt up 70% since Obama took office
Great accomplshments
Sp
obama's best might be the democrats worst. The country will suffer from his destruction for years. To the democrats it might be generations.

History will look at what Obama accomplished and his lasting legacy

In spite of non-stop whining from Republicans, Obama did the right thing and will be looked at favorably by history

Obamacare, gay rights, immigration reform, economic initiatives, environmental protections, normalizing relations with Cuba, sanctions against Russia

All showed strong leadership and will be looked at favorably

Yeah, by the colossally stupid and partisan. His legacy will be abysmal.. trust me. There's a reason his approvals are in the 30's.

But hey, have your delusions.
As far as FoxNation is concerned, Obama will always be a failure. They declared it from day one

History will look at subjective evidence and hard accomplishments
Obamacare, preventing a depression, killing bin Laden, gay rights, immigration reform, sanctions on Iraq and Russia, normalization of relations with Cuba........will all be looked at favorably

The actions and positions of Republicans during these years will not

They are bound to be his best. Having Republicans in control of the legislative branch is going to seriously stall his ability to damage the country, though I'm sure he will try to do his best through executive orders.

besides with the bar set so freaking low the last six years, the standard isn't exactly high

I thought he invaded the Ukraine because the Ukrainian revolution didn't turn out great for Moscow, and then he took advantage of that as an excuse to seize Crimea.

Do you really think what Obama might do about that would ever figure into his decision?

Furthermore...Russia has been quite sure there is absolutely NOTHING the US can do about Russian troops north of the Black Sea, and that's been the reality since forever.

I'm not buying it. This another "blame everything on Obama, and see what sticks" GOP-Fox News narrative.

As I remember...Bush and Obama did about the same things over Crimea and Georgia...which was condemn it, and not a lot else.

What exactly did Bush do, that Obama didn't?

U.S. reacted strongly to Russia incursion into Georgia in 2008 - The Washington Post

Again, Bush is no excuse for the unimposing, paper tiger, non-deterrent known as obama.

Well.
I give up. Sometimes I am wrong, and when I am - it may take me a while to get there - but I will openly admit my failure.
So all of the times I have defended RW'ger, saying I believe he is at least honest in his opinions. The times I have said he is better than the Sallow's out there...
I was wrong.
I cannot be both right and wrong at the same time.
I said it is not possible for someone to still defend and support Obama without either being completely uninformed, or dishonest. And buried deep in idealogy.
With this thread, RWnger has truly showed he is without merit. It is not worthwhile to consider his opinions. Or give benefit of the doubt.
He is not uninformed.
Therefore he is dishonest. It is not possible to still support Obama with such obvious and massive failures.
People like RWnger cannot or will not separate the two economies.:
The economy of the elite. And the economy of the rest of us.
The elite are doing fantastically well. We are not.
The elite have enjoyed the single most prosperous years in America history under this President. This is a fact. They have enjoyed more than a 30% increase in their earnings whil ethe remaning 93% of Americans have suffered a 5% decrease.
This is ONLY possible in a corrupt system. A system that Obama has expanded exponentially. His administration has sat by while the FED/Wall Street/ Central Banks have thoroughly enriched themselves at the taxpayers expense.
No. An informed person cannot still support Obama.
